Have a question regarding utilizing pages that could be considered as door way pages. What I want to do is focus on some keyword and key phrases that tend to convert to sales by creating little mini blog pages dedicated to those terms. For a quick background, we have been using PPC campaigns for about 5 years now. I think we have those optimized as well as we can but we have noticed the conversion rate has fallen this past year. Based on that as well as the fact sales volume has decreased this year, I have slashed the PPC budget as we try to trim excess spending where we can. The downside has been less traffic therefore obviously we need to make up this ground.

The mini blogs would be simple but utilize the basic header and footers we use for our pages, including menus. They would contain a descriptive title and single sentence meta description as well as a 200 word paragraph as a more detailed description of that term or phrase as it pertains to our business and along with a call to action link at the end. Each would be based on the products we offer.

My question is would this be considered a door way page in a sense that we could get penalized by the search engines? If so, is there a way we can do this legitimately?

If so, we would be unleashing a ton of these since we have a high number of terms that convert.
